Working hours: Full-time (38.5 hours/week)
Time limit: 3 years with option of prolongation
Entry: as soon as possible

Your tasks
We are looking for a very motivated postdoc to reinforce our team working on mucosal plasma cell biology. The postdoctoral scientist will play a key role in advancing our understanding of IgA biology at the mucosal interface. Every day, intestinal plasma cells secrete several grams of immunoglobulin A (IgA) into the intestinal lumen. IgA is therefore the most abundant type of antibody produced. IgA binds food components, pathogens and their toxins, and the microbiota. The successful candidate will use multi-omics techniques, including single cell and immunoglobulin repertoire analysis, to dissect the dynamics and functions of mucosal IgA secretion and connections through the gut liver axis by combining data from mouse models and patient samples. We offer the opportunity to work in an exciting field of science and a highly collaborative environment with excellent access to patient samples, model systems and general experimental support from the team. We encourage and support the development of independent research and an academic career.
