Purpose of the Job


This position is responsible for coordinating environmental, safety, and health (ESH) affairs for the Robinson, IL facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.


Duties & Responsibilities

· Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Plant Manager.

· Key Interfaces: Collaborates with the Corporate SH&E team, senior managers, plant managers, corporate staff, field personnel, vendors, safety and environmental consultants, and contract engineering and construction firms.

· Safety Management: Monitors and reports OSHA recordable injuries and illnesses, and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Environmental Compliance: Ensures compliance with environmental permits and regulations, and manages environmental control programs.

Job Requirements

· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar leadership role within an industrial setting.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Skills & Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
· Ability to develop and manage site-specific policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
· Proficiency in coordinating site safety training and personnel development in SH&E.
· Capability to sustain and enhance existing safety and environmental processes and programs with enthusiasm and energy.
· Strong influence and communication skills to effectively work within the line organization, despite not having direct line authority.
